17 % Surveyed Would Skip Sex To Avoid Changing Lightbulbs for over ten years

Turn Out the Lights

We're no fans of abstinence campaigns, but okay you other 83% percent, it's not a lot to ask to help out with things environmental.

To tell the truth, no sacrifice is required -- you can have your green lovin' and not have change your lightbulb too, that is, after an initial change to a long-lasting CFL.

The folks at Sylvania may have made that a more attractive proposition, perhaps not as attractive as these CFLs Collin told you about (yum!), with their new line of Micro-mini bulbs that the lovely Kelly Rutherford, star of the hit drama Gossip Girl, introduced on Earth Day.

Read Daniel Quinn said: "I don't understand people complaining about the temperature of the light produced by CFLs.

Best beaches in Canada at Point Pelee National Park & a Day of Action or is it InAction

The beach at the southernmost tip of mainland Canada is for the birds. Point Pelee on Lake Erie is an important stopping point for migrating songbirds.

Day of Action - Sunday May 18, 2008 (Victoria Day long weekend)

On April 30, 2008, Parks Canada began shooting nesting Double-crested Cormorants at Middle Island, Point Pelee National Park.

Parks Canada intends to kill 90% of nesting cormorants over the next five years, basically eliminating the vibrant and historical colonial waterbird colony.

Thousands of birds will be shot.

Join Us In Protest against this killing of nesting birds.

WHERE : Point Pelee National Park - primary location also Rondeau Provincial Park - Chatham Ward's Island - Toronto WHEN : 11am start time

Many people have already joined the Day of Action, but if you haven't confirmed your partcipation, please join us at any of these locations.

The action involves handing out information asking visitors to boycott Point Pelee National Park.

For those visitors already at Point Pelee, we will ask them to wear black arm bands while in the park, and consider cancelling future visits to the park.

All action will occur outside the park gates and off park property.

The Peaceful Parks Coalition has called for a boycott of Point Pelee National Park because we believe a boycott would be effective.

Visitors to Point Pelee are already at an all time low, and a strong rejection of park policy by supporters could halt the shooting of cormorants scheduled for the next five years.

World Increases of Food Hunger Grow to UN & WHO Levels of Involvement Canada Destroys Fruit Tress

Agriculture in Norfolk suffered another setback this week with the destruction of thousands of peach trees.

"We are running out of food supply for Canadians because farmers are getting out of the business," Porteous said yesterday.

"We can't compete with slave labour.

They are talking about food shortages around the world, and we're pulling our trees out of the ground."

Debbie and Tony Haegens of Forestville are going through the same ordeal.

They have been busy this week pulling up 7,000 peach trees on their farm, all of them in bloom.

Disbelieving neighbours have been asking all week what is going on.

The Haegens, Porteous and others are angry because the federal and provincial government allow processors to label their cans "Product of Canada" even when the food inside is from overseas...
